JOURNAL POLICIES AND HOW TO ADD

What I write about: I most commonly find myself in the young adult genre, but I have previously written stories with elements of science fiction, horror, spirituality, children's and romance. I'm particularly interested in coming-of-age stories, realistic science fiction and GLBT* acceptance. However, it's hard to find a topic I'm not interested in, and I can probably be convinced to try anything twice.

What I don't write about: I do not, as of now, write erotica of any sort, so if you're looking for that, you'd probably be better off looking elsewhere.

Things you might find here: In general, much of my writing is suitable for teenagers and older children, and I try to keep stories aimed at them as "clean" as possible. Some of my writing is unquestionably disturbing, however, so please do be aware of that. All writing is marked with appropriate thematic warnings. Please decide for yourself if you should read a particular story, or ask me if you have any concerns or questions.

Specifically, you might find stories that address topics such as: research ethics (human experimentation); child abuse; religious extremism; psychological and physical torture; murder; rape; reparative therapy (the ex-gay movement), and others. These subjects are not condoned and are treated sensitively, and you will be warned before encountering them.

What I expect from you: I welcome all feedback and respond extremely well to critique and criticism. Please don't hesitate. I don't require feedback in any way, although it's appreciated. What I do ask is that you please refrain from disrespectful attacks. It would help me immensely if you could tell me what you thought of the story, not its subject matter; if you do not wish to run into a particular theme, simply skip it.

*I do not warn for non-heterosexual content on the basis of it being non-heterosexual because I do not feel that this merits a warning. Do not add this journal if you have issues with that policy. Homophobia is not welcome here.

To see the writing: Just leave a comment here! Don't be shy; I'll add you. Please remember to comment here rather than just adding me to your friends list, as I might not see that you've done so.

Any questions: Please don't hesitate to ask, be it in a comment to this entry or via PM/email/etc. I love discussion and new friends! Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my journal policies!
